Magma Capital Funds is an investment firm that specializes in managing risk. They use a systematic strategy to respond to market volatility by tactically switching between asset classes. Magma’s goal is to provide consistent elevated returns regardless of market conditions.
The Grove team was tasked to create a visual identity for the new Magma brand. Taking inspiration from the dynamic nature of magma and its relation to financial markets, we established a brand that sets Magma apart from its competitors and resonates with the target audience. We extended the brand’s visual identity to a new web presence and investor materials to ensure consistency across all touch points.

Logo Design & Brand Identity
Through several rounds of exploration, the creative team developed the Magma abstract “flow” signet, showing the volatile nature of financial trading. A custom sans-serif-type treatment inspired by the Work Sans typeface was paired with the Signet to create a balance between flowing forms and the stability and security of a trusted investment firm.
Website Design & Development
Our team brought the new Magma brand to life by developing a fully immersive website that captures and communicates its dynamic essence. In addition to the website, we crafted comprehensive brand collateral to ensure consistent and cohesive messaging across all touchpoints.
